The Sevens Rules
The Sevens is a version of Canasta in which the rank of sevens has special significance. The normal Canasta rules apply except for the following:
A sevens canasta counts for 2000 points.
If a player is stuck with more than three sevens in his hand, his team is penalized 500 points.
If a side has a meld of sevens, but not a canasta, they are penalized 1500 points.
