Vintage Canasta Cards
Gene Gable, a contributing editor for creativepro.com, was fortunate enough to purchase a box of over 1,000 vintage ('40s and '50s) playing cards from a garage sale, which included over 30 different examples of Canasta card decks.
In his article, Heavy Metal Madness: It's All in the Cards, Gene displays a few of the beautiful Canasta designs he stumbled upon.
Personally, I only own one vintage Canasta deck (example on the right), which I picked up at an antique store, if I recall.
I'll keep an eye out for more, as I think this would be an interesting collection. If I get enough of them together I'll post them here at Rummy-Games.com.
